Nevan was born in New Zealand in 1965 but didn't start painting until 2000. He paints at his home in New Zealand. 

Nevan originally started painting in water colours but now uses acrylics. "I love to use bright bold colours in my works. "

Self-taught and not formally trained, he has always had a strong interest in painting and art during his school years and discovered during a beach holiday. He uses painting as a form of relaxation.

Being inspired by the seas, sun sets or sun rises it's little wonder most of Nevan's work is land and seascapes.
